USS Omaha UAP Encounter 2019

USS Omaha UAP Encounter 2019

Case Summary

A series of unidentified aerial phenomena encounters involving the USS Omaha and other U.S. Navy vessels during training operations off the coast of California. The incident included radar tracking, infrared footage, and reports of multiple unidentified objects operating near naval ships.

Overview

The USS Omaha (2019) is one of the strongest modern military UAP cases because it combines multiple sensor systems, eyewitnesses, radar data, and video into a single incident series.

Case Summary
Date: July 15, 2019
Location: Warning area off the coast of San Diego, California
Ship: USS Omaha (LCS-12)
Part of: The broader 2019 Southern California Navy UAP incidents involving multiple U.S. Navy ships.
What happened?

For several hours, the USS Omaha and nearby Navy vessels tracked numerous unidentified objects around the fleet.

Reports indicate:

Multiple unknown radar contacts (at least 14 at one point)
Objects observed visually and on electro-optical/infrared sensors
One spherical object recorded on infrared video
The sphere appeared to descend into the ocean before disappearing
A search of the area reportedly found no wreckage or recovered object.
Video Evidence

The best-known Omaha video shows:

Nighttime infrared footage
A small spherical object over the ocean
Crew members discussing the target
The object descending toward the water
Someone exclaiming "Splash!" as it appears to enter the ocean

Unlike Gimbal or GoFast, the object isn't maneuvering dramatically on camera. The significance comes from the accompanying reports that it was tracked on multiple sensors during a larger event.

Radar

Separate radar footage from the Combat Information Center was later released, showing numerous tracks around the ship.

The audio includes operators tracking contacts, noting changes in speed and direction, and estimating there were numerous unknown targets during the encounter.
