Ground Marks Police discovered 32 to 40 circular holes (approximately 3.5 inches in diameter) arranged in patterns consistent with Taylor’s account of smaller objects. These were accompanied by "ladder-shaped" impressions or deep indentations resembling caterpillar tracks from heavy machinery, spanning a disturbed area roughly 9 feet wide. Investigators noted the marks appeared to arrive and vanish without any vehicle tracks leading to or from the clearing, implying an object of several tons had landed and departed vertically.
Physical Evidence on Taylor Taylor suffered grazes to his chin and thighs and returned home in a dazed state with torn clothing. Forensic analysis of his blue serge trousers revealed tears consistent with a sharp upward pull from hooked objects, supporting his claim that he had been dragged by spiked spheres.
