Recorded during the 2015 USS Theodore Roosevelt East Coast UAP encounters, the GOFAST video was captured by the AN/ASQ-228 ATFLIR targeting pod aboard a U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet. The infrared footage shows an unidentified object moving over the Atlantic Ocean while Navy aviators successfully track it with the aircraft's targeting system. Although the object initially appears to be traveling at extraordinary speed, subsequent analyses have produced differing interpretations regarding its actual velocity based on sensor geometry and telemetry. The video became public in 2017 and was officially authenticated and released by the U.S. Department of Defense in April 2020. Together with GIMBAL and FLIR1, GOFAST is one of the three most well-known publicly released U.S. Navy UAP videos.
