Ground Traces at Kōfu Landing Site

The 1975 Kōfu UFO Incident in Japan left significant physical evidence at the landing site in a vineyard in Kōfu, Yamanashi. Two 7-year-old boys, Masato Kawano and Katsuhiro Yamahata, reported seeing a silver disc-shaped craft land, after which investigators documented the following ground traces:
Damaged Infrastructure: Two solid concrete pillars supporting the vineyard were found pushed over or shattered, with wire mesh covering them warped and spread wide as if by a heavy load.
Soil Anomalies: Investigators found "landing traces" and a distinct ring pattern in the soil near the broken posts. Several holes, approximately 50-60 centimeters deep, were discovered, containing powdery ash or white substance at the center.
Radiation: A high school professor, Susumu Maeda, tested soil samples from the site and found unnaturally high levels of radiation. Other experts later corroborated these findings, suggesting contact with a foreign radioactive object.
These physical findings, including the structural damage and radioactive soil, were investigated by local newspapers like the Yamanashi Nichinichi Shimbun and researchers, contributing to the case's notoriety in UFO lore. the Kōfu incident.
