Kōfu drawings

The historical Japanese account says that Masato Kono (河野雅人) and Katsuhiro Yamahata (山畠克博) were asked to draw what they had seen. The account explicitly says, “二人に描いてもらった絵” — essentially, “the drawings they were asked to make.”
There are two main categories:
The UFO/craft
The humanoid/creature
The UFO Database also separately catalogs a “Drawing of the UFO observed by Katsuhiro Yamahata and Masato Kono” and a “Drawing of the extraterrestrial being witnessed by Katsuhiro Yamahata and Masato Kono.”
The boys' description of the craft is surprisingly specific.
According to the Japanese account, they described it as approximately:
2.5 meters wide
1.5 meters high
roughly the size of a normal passenger car
silver-colored
with a domed upper section
a band of square, blue-glowing windows around the body
three hemispherical landing devices underneath
each landing device approximately 25 cm high
sitting directly on the ground
The account specifically says the boys saw writing/characters on the craft, which is a particularly interesting part of their testimony.
The creature they described was approximately 130 cm tall. The reported description is extraordinarily distinctive:
Brown-colored face/head
Large head and shoulders
Apparently bald
Face described as deeply wrinkled
Three silver-colored fang-like teeth
Unusual facial appearance, with the face sometimes described as mask-like
Long ears, often compared to rabbit ears
Four-fingered hands
Legs described as somewhat bowed
Shoes/feet with two divided toes
A silver-colored suit
A strange gun or weapon carried over the shoulder
The UFO Database's account says Masato saw the first being inside the craft, while Katsuhiro encountered essentially the same type of being outside the craft.
The creature wasn't merely something they saw at a distance.
According to the account, Katsuhiro was approached from behind and tapped on the shoulder twice. He reportedly felt four fingers on his shoulder. The being also made a strange squeaking or high-pitched sound.
That is why the Kōfu case is usually classified as a close-encounter case, rather than simply a UFO sighting.
