The Air Technical Intelligence Center investigated the Lubbock Lights reports during 1951. Investigators traveled to Lubbock, interviewed witnesses and examined the photographs taken by Carl Hart Jr. The investigation included analysis of the formations, reported speeds and photographic material. The case material also considered possible conventional explanations, including birds reflecting light from Lubbock's newly installed vapor street lighting.
