Operation Prato Photographic Evidence

Type: Photographs

Source: Brazilian Air Force (FAB)

During the 1977 Operation Saucer (Operação Prato), the Brazilian Air Force captured over 500 photographs and 16 to 22 hours of film in Colares, Brazil. Led by Captain Uyrangê Hollanda, the military documented glowing objects ("Chupa-Chupa") firing light beams. However, most of this visual evidence remains classified or excluded from declassified archives.

A small fraction of the photographs, alongside military documents and sketches, were declassified by the Brazilian government starting in 2005. While heavily debated, these released files and a select few surviving photos are cataloged and discussed in the Operação Prato Wikipedia Article and analyzed in depth by researchers on the UFO Sightings in Brazil Wikipedia Page. Because the operation's complete visual and medical files remain highly restricted, the surviving public images are frequently analyzed within UFO research communities rather than officially authenticated.
