The 1994 Ariel School Incident in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, involved approximately 60 to 70 students who reported witnessing a silver, disc-shaped craft and small humanoids with large eyes near the school playground on September 16, 1994.
Following the event, UFO researcher Cynthia Hind and BBC journalist Tim Leach interviewed the pupils and collected their independent drawings. These artworks, numbering over 70 known examples, consistently depicted:
Disc or oval-shaped spacecraft hovering or landed in the bush.
Small, dark-clothed figures with large, black eyes emerging from or standing near the craft.
Flashing lights or beams associated with the object.
Environmental warnings or telepathic messages regarding technology and pollution, as interpreted by some witnesses.
The drawings are notable for their remarkable consistency despite the children being interviewed separately and having diverse artistic skills. Harvard psychiatrist John E. Mack later interviewed the students, further documenting their accounts. However, the case lacks physical evidence such as verified photographs, radar data, or landing traces, leaving the incident as a debated mass-witness encounter in UFO history.
