UAP DISCLOSURE ARCHIVE

Primary Witness Interviews

Type: Witness Testimony

Source: Television and Independent Investigators

Recent investigations by filmmaker James Fox have secured significant new witness testimony regarding the 1996 Varginha Incident, including the first public disclosures from local medical professionals. In January 2026, Fox presented these accounts at a National Press Club press conference and a closed-door meeting with U.S. lawmakers, highlighting claims of a nonhuman entity recovery and alleged government cover-up.

Key Medical Testimony
Neurosurgeon Dr. Italo Venturelli provided detailed statements, claiming he was shown a black-and-white video of the patient and spent minutes examining a nonhuman being at Regional Hospital in Varginha. He described the entity as resembling a seven-year-old child with a teardrop-shaped cranium, lilac-colored eyes, white skin, and a hand with three fingers and an opposing thumb. Venturelli stated the being communicated through its gaze, conveying intelligence, compassion, and a desire to be released, and noted that most other doctors remain silent due to fear of professional retaliation.

Civilian and Military Accounts
Multiple civilians reported encountering the craft or its aftermath, with accounts corroborated by independent investigators:

Carlos de Sousa, a geography teacher and pilot, witnessed a cigar-shaped craft trailing smoke crash on January 13, 1996. He reported a smell of ammonia and rotten eggs, a piece of metal that crumpled and then returned to its original shape, and was threatened at gunpoint by military personnel.
Three young women (including Liliane Silva and Katia Xavier) reported encountering a short, crouching creature with oily brown skin and red eyes in a vacant lot on January 20, 1996. They described the entity as appearing to suffer and needing help before fleeing in fear.
Forensic Pathologist Dr. Armando Fortunato testified regarding the death of Military Police officer Marco Eli Chereze, who died of sepsis after allegedly handling one of the entities. A signed statement from a renowned pathologist attributed the death to a highly aggressive, drug-resistant bacterium of unusual characteristics.
Official Involvement and Secrecy
Witnesses allege a clandestine operation involving both Brazilian and U.S. authorities. A retired U.S. colonel claimed a U.S. cargo plane secretly flew to Brazil in January 1996 to retrieve "unusual cargo" without authorization. Additionally, witnesses reported visits from men in black suits who offered money for silence and threatened families, while journalists were barred from the crash site under claims of national security. Despite these accounts, the Pentagon and the Department of Defense AARO maintain there is no evidence linking UAPs to extraterrestrial life, and no physical evidence or definitive video footage has been publicly verified.
