During the total solar eclipse, Venus was exceptionally bright and visible in the darkened daytime sky. Analysis of the available footage has matched the apparent position of the principal UFO with Venus. The apparent disc, dome and darker lower portion can potentially be explained by overexposure and artifacts produced by contemporary video cameras. The fact that similar recordings were made from widely separated locations is also compatible with an astronomical object because Venus would exhibit negligible apparent parallax across the relevant distances.
