The 1977 Operation Prato (Operation Saucer) was a classified Brazilian Air Force (FAB) mission initiated to investigate a wave of UFO sightings in the Amazon region. The operation was commanded by Capt. Uyrangê Hollanda Lima and included Sgt. Flávio Costa along with a specialized team of intelligence, photography, and medical personnel. Captain Hollanda led the initial deployment of military intelligence officers, conducting fieldwork that included setting up sky watches, interviewing local residents, taking photographs, and drafting classified reports about the mysterious glowing lights. The operation was later abruptly terminated and its files were classified by the military command in Brasília. Decades later, following declassification campaigns by Brazilian ufologists, Captain Hollanda gave public interviews confirming the military's documentation of unknown, intelligently controlled craft. Today, the records of Operation Prato, including its documentation of the alleged "Chupa-Chupa" (Sucker-Sucker) lights that caused medical concerns in Colares, remain highly studied within UFO history
