Civilian Hikers
The two hikers who witnessed and photographed the Calvine UFO incident in August 1990 remain anonymous and have never come forward publicly.
Identity: The men are believed to be chefs from Fisher’s Hotel in Pitlochry, Scotland, but their names were never disclosed.
The Incident: On August 4, 1990, they reported seeing a 100-foot diamond-shaped object hovering silently for ten minutes before accelerating vertically and vanishing, with a Harrier jet circling nearby.
Evidence: They submitted six photographs to the Daily Record newspaper, which forwarded them to the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
Current Status: The original negatives disappeared from MoD custody, and the hikers' identities are kept classified until 2072 for privacy reasons. The sole surviving print was rediscovered by researcher Dr. David Clarke in 2022 and archived at Sheffield Hallam University.
