Craig Lindsay

Craig Lindsay was the Royal Air Force press officer in Scotland who handled the Calvine UFO photograph in 1990 after receiving images from the Daily Record. He faxed copies to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in London, which obtained the original negatives, studied them, and produced a report before returning the negatives to the newspaper.

Lindsay retained a copy of the original photograph on his bookshelf for 32 years, waiting for someone to inquire about the case. In 2022, he revealed the photo to researcher Dr. David Clarke, who had been investigating the mystery for over a decade. Lindsay then donated the print to Sheffield Hallam University, making the image, previously dubbed the "clearest UFO photo ever taken," publicly available for the first time
