David Davies

On February 4, 1977, David Davies, then a 10-year-old pupil at Broad Haven Primary School in Pembrokeshire, Wales, witnessed a silver cigar-shaped craft with a central dome and pulsating red light land in a field near the school playground. Along with 13 other children, Davies observed tall, slender beings in silver suits emerge from the object, an incident that sparked a wave of sightings in the area known as the Dyfed Triangle or Broad Haven Triangle.

The children’s consistent accounts, documented through independent drawings and written statements, were corroborated by the school headmaster, who isolated the students to prevent collusion. Despite investigations by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) and local police, no conclusive explanation was ever provided, and the case remains one of the most famous mass-child UFO close encounters in the UK. Davies, who suffered significant bullying and social ostracization as a result, has maintained the integrity of his account for over 45 years, stating he felt awe and wonderment rather than fear during the brief sighting.
