Dennis Murzenko

Murzenko was a seventh-grade student at School No. 33 in Voronezh, in a parallel seventh-grade class to Volodia Startsev. Contemporary/near-contemporary accounts identify him as one of the schoolchildren who reported an encounter during the Voronezh events.

According to the account published in UFOs in Voronezh, Murzenko said that on September 28, 1989, he was at his home on Tsimlyanskaya Street preparing to go to a concert with his mother. At approximately 7:10 p.m., he went outside and reportedly saw a large pink, egg-shaped object in the sky. He said it was descending and emitted rays.

He described the object as having a feature resembling the Cyrillic letter "Ж" and said he could see what appeared to be a human-shaped silhouette inside it. He reported that the object descended toward an area near sheds and concrete slabs, where he saw bright rays and an open hatch containing what appeared to be the silhouette of a person. He then became frightened and returned to his house.

Murzenko's account was reportedly near his own home, rather than in the park. One source specifically describes him as the only schoolchild witness who encountered the reported UFO outside the park, near his home on Tsimlyanskaya Street.

There are also accounts of another Murzenko sighting on October 2, in which he reportedly returned to the same general area of his earlier encounter and saw a humanoid more than two meters tall. The figure was reportedly wearing a jacket with three fasteners and had what appeared to be a metal plate on its chest. Murzenko said the figure eventually disappeared behind sheds despite there apparently being no practical route for it to leave
