In January 1996, Dr. Italo Venturelli, then head neurosurgeon at Regional Hospital in Varginha, Brazil, claims to have encountered a living, non-human entity brought to the hospital following a UFO crash. Venturelli, who publicly revealed this account in 2025 after a near-fatal heart attack, described a 3-4 minute interaction with a being resembling a seven-year-old child with white skin, a teardrop-shaped cranium, and lilac-colored eyes.

Appearance: The entity had a small mouth, minimal ear structure, thin arms, and hands with three fingers and an opposing thumb.
Communication: Venturelli reported the being was calm, aware, and communicated a sense of intelligence and tranquility, which he interpreted as telepathic.
Aftermath: Armed personnel removed the entity, and staff were ordered not to speak of the incident. Venturelli also viewed a brief 15-20 second video of the creature before its removal.
