Ronald Johnson

On November 2, 1971, Ronald Johnson, a 16-year-old farmhand in Delphos, Kansas, witnessed a mushroom-shaped UFO hovering approximately 25 yards away with multicolored lights. The craft emitted a sound like a vibrating washing machine and temporarily blinded Johnson before ascending rapidly into the sky.

The incident is notable for the physical evidence left behind: a glowing ring appeared on the ground where the object had hovered. Soil samples from the site exhibited hydrophobic properties, repelling water and snow melt, while a substance on nearby trees caused Johnson’s mother’s fingers to go numb upon contact.

Despite investigations by local law enforcement and independent researchers, the event remains an unexplained Close Encounter of the Second Kind, with skeptics offering alternative explanations such as natural phenomena or animal urine, though these have not fully accounted for all reported anomalies.
