On September 27, 1989, Lieutenant Sergei A. Matveyev of the Voronezh district police station reported observing a UFO landing in a city park in Voronezh, Soviet Union. Matveyev stated he saw a noiseless object flying at very high speed and low altitude, describing it as "certainly a body flying in the sky," but he did not witness the alleged extraterrestrial beings themselves.
The incident, widely reported by the state news agency TASS in October 1989, involved claims from schoolchildren that they saw three-eyed aliens and a robot exit a red/pink luminous sphere. While TASS initially cited scientific confirmation of ground traces and unidentified rocks, subsequent investigations by the USSR Academy of Sciences found no physical evidence, radiation, or anomalous residues at the site.
