On October 4, 1967, numerous residents of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia reported observing a large illuminated object moving across the sky before descending into the ocean. Believing an aircraft had crashed, witnesses alerted authorities. RCMP officers, Coast Guard personnel, and military resources responded and conducted an extensive search of the area. Witnesses reported seeing lights floating on the water before the object disappeared. No aircraft wreckage, bodies, or identifiable debris were ever recovered.
