RCMP Constable
RCMP Constable Ron Pound was one of the first official eyewitnesses to the October 4, 1967, Shag Harbour UFO incident in Nova Scotia. While patrolling Highway 3, he spotted a craft with four flashing orange lights descending at a 45-degree angle, which he estimated to be about 60 feet long.
Pound immediately reported the event and was among the first to arrive at the crash site alongside other officers and local residents. They watched as a glowing yellow object floated on the water roughly half a mile offshore before it sank. Extensive search and rescue operations by the Canadian Coast Guard and Navy divers found no wreckage, leaving the event officially unexplained
