Charlie Foltz

Charlie Foltz was one of the four men, known as the Allagash Four, who claimed to be abducted by extraterrestrial beings during a canoe trip in the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Maine, in August 1976. Along with twin brothers Jack and Jim Weiner and friend Chuck Rak, Foltz experienced "missing time" after their canoe was engulfed by a beam of light from a large, glowing sphere.

Years later, under hypnotic regression, Foltz recalled being taken aboard the craft and subjected to a medical examination by gray-skinned aliens, describing the interior as resembling a veterinarian's office. He and the other witnesses (except Rak, who recanted in 2016) passed polygraph tests and consistently maintained their accounts, attributing their subsequent nightmares and psychological distress to the trauma of the event. Foltz has remained a steadfast proponent of the abduction narrative, dismissing Rak's recantation as motivated by personal grievances and financial motives.
